Annie Lennox is one of my favorites. This song is very
expressive and lyrical. The anguish was expressed without the usual
belter's histronics. The feelings are raw, exact and hauntingly deep.
She never shouted. The high notes were high enough. The words were
questions and revelations of the singer's unable to understand anymore
the conflicts and marital strifes; leading her to say he never knew
her at all.
This is where I put all of my writings. Be they articles, stories or poems. It may also include things I find interesting -- song lyrics, a reaction to an article I came across, manga that I'm currently reading & keeping tabs on (Bleach & Nurarihyon No Mago). I hope you'll find my blog interesting enough to read on. Anyways, it's my way of recording my thoughts and such.

Time & Infinity
"It's
natural for us to want to know everything. And we like to make up
stories about everything. And those stories are often wrong. So people..
For people, we're finite. We're not gods. We don't own the universe.
We're a tiny portion of the universe and now we've discovered that we're
a much tinier portion than we might have thought before. We don't have
the right, in some sense, to expect to know everything that there is to
know. " - Tom Banks, theoretical physicist. "Through the Wormhole"

Blog Revived from a Literary Death
I
just re-activated my blog. It's been frozen in time for almost two
years. And as I read the entries I made, memories long tucked away came
back. Most were mundane musings of my everyday life then. A few were
"triggers" of significant events in my life. I have this tendency to
avoid divulging too much info on my personal life; my kind of "defense
shield." But I wrote enough to remind myself of what happened.
I started, or should I say re-started, writing on my blog today. I find that writing on my FB timeline have this side-effect of getting my personal thoughts lost in the midst of countless photos and re-postings. With my short-term memory getting shorter with each passing day, I'm going to need a journal as, in I.T. parlance, an "external data storage."

A Haiku Poem Remembered
I wrote this in my FB timeline last night in the middle of a heavy downpour outside my window.
Raindrops fall on leaves.
Underneath, lies a chrysalis;
A butterfly sleeps
A haiku poem I remember writing on a rainy night like this.

The Rain, The Floods & My Friends
As
I watch the news on cable which is all about the rain and the floods, I
know I have nothing to worry about my family. Our place is located high
above the flood levels. My nephews and nieces are all at home; no
classes on all levels was declared in Makati early this morning.
Still, I say a silent prayer for all my friends who are not as lucky. Hope they're safe from harm. Hope they get to their destination with little or no hassle.
Stay safe, one and all. My friends & family, you know who you are.
