The past two weeks had been unkind to me. I had to skip work for most of the time due to new ailment I just had (GERD). Been to several doctors to remedy it. The last one was a bit successful since the medicine prescribed was able to lessent the symptoms.
The other and more serious was when I had my regular appointment with my diabetologist to change the experimental meds I'm using for my diabetes. I gave him the results of the tests (including a ultra-sound on my abdominal region - liver, pancreas, kidneys and gallbladder) taken re: GERD. And it was then he discovered a cyst on liver and quite big; it was about 5 cm. He immediately scheduled for a lab test for creatinin level and a CTScan of the organ. He explained that it could be malignant or benign.
All that time at the clinic, it never dawned on me the implication of that test result. OMG! There's a possibility of cancer. Cancer! It was only when I got home and in my room when that reality sunk in.
